We are looking for an Accountant

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Accountant to join our team and contribute to our ongoing success. The Accountant will be responsible for managing the company's financial accounts, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and supporting the company's financial planning, analyses efforts and enabling solid accounts management procedures for large and multi-stream transactions. The successful candidate will work closely with the senior management team and other departments to ensure the company's financial health and growth.


 Key Responsibilities

Manage and maintain the company's financial accounts, including preparing and analysing financial statements, general ledger, and balance sheets.

Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, including GAAP and tax laws.

Manage the company's cash flow and prepare forecasts and budgets.

Collaborate with other departments to support financial planning and analyses efforts.

Develop and implement financial controls and procedures to mitigate financial risks.

Manage a granular multi-stream income process.

Manage the payment collection process, especially of defaulted borrowers.Deal with large number of transaction stakeholders and provide any necessary information or reports to auditors and fund administrators.

Provide necessary information for NAV calculations.

Manage large amounts of monthly transactions, including payments in and out.

Issue regular and frequent reports on a large number of positions.

Provide timely and accurate financial reports and management accounts to senior management.

Manage and maintain relationships with external auditors, tax authorities, and other financial institutions.

Provide guidance and support to other departments on financial matters.

To undertake any other duties which may be allocated by their line manager within the general scope of the role and appropriate to the grade.


 

 

Requirements and Skills

  

- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.

- CPA certification preferred.

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or finance.

- Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations, including GAAP and tax laws.

- Strong knowledge of financial analysis and reporting.

- Extremely detailed and excellent accuracy.

- Experience with large transactions.

- Strong organisational skills.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other departments.

- Ability to manage the collection of defaulted borrower payments is considered a plus.

- Experience with financial control would be considered as an asset.

- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office suite. Must be extremely skilled in Microsoft Excel.
